Probate Update: Charity Law and update from Probate Officer

On the 25th of March the Probate Bar Association held a Probate update on charity Law with an update from probate officer Anne Heenan. The seminar provided an overview of the operations of the Charities Regulator as well as an examination of what is required in proceedings involving charities generally. Additionally, there was a review of the recent case law in the area and a general update on probate matters from the perspective of the Probate Office. At the end of the presentation participants understood the role of the Charities Regulator, gained a knowledge of the key changes in the area of charities law and became aware of issues in respect of probate applications generally.
